Role Overview:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for eliciting business, functional and technical requirements to define software configuration and development for the advancement of our business. Position acts as a primary point of contact for our business users into the Systems and Process team with regards to systems questions, enhancement requests, and production support issues. Provides guidance to users on system usage and functionality. Researches industry best practices to help  deliver scalable and configurable software. Provides technical expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Some  of your responsibilities will include: 

• Support process discussions with business subject matter experts and stakeholders to facilitate business process improvement.
• Document use cases, user stories, requirements, and process flows.
• Responsible for the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems.
• Responsible for making adjustments or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
• Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
• Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
• Conducts testing for system changes and fixes. May also support work of technical developers by providing testing support. Documents test scenarios, expected outcomes and executes testing.
• Conducts investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems and issues faced are general, and may require understanding of broader set of issues but typically are not complex.
• Works to fully understand business processes and business user needs. Translates business asks to technical implementation needs. Engages more technical team members including architects and/or developers as needed to support enhancements and fixes.
• Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement.
• May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience (including internships); or an advanced degree without experience
• Degree in mathematics, statistics or engineering related field desired
