Position Title: Lead Cloud Development Engineer
Overview:
Successful candidate will join a leading edge technology company producing software used by millions of people every day. Candidate will be get an opportunity to work on the state of the art technologies to enable cloud licensing for Citrix products within the Cloud Software Group.
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and unit test software for the Citrix Licensing Solution. Troubleshoot and debug software programs. As one of the key members of a software development team, you will be responsible for either independently working on a feature of a large project, or leading a small team of engineers in development of features and subcomponents. Responsibilities will include providing work estimates, participating in and/or leading the design effort, mentoring junior engineers, developing code modules, unit and integration testing and performing code reviews.
Has an eye for innovation. Offers new ideas to improve the product for the customers and drive sales. Independently reviews internal development processes in order to improve efficiency and quality. Reviews own performance and looks for ways to improve year over year.
Required Experience and Technical Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering or Equivalent from an accredited college or technical institute. In-depth work experience on enterprise software, Windows Operating systems, networking, and programming language concepts is highly recommended. Overall 9+ years of relevant hands-on experience is preferred.
Development – The developer will be capable of efficiently implementing a design on schedule with high quality. He or she is expected to thoroughly understand the C++ programming language and .Net framework to be able to work in a Windows environment, be able to review new and old code for errors, security hazards, performance implications, and maintainability.
Design – Extensive experience with object-oriented software design & development. Capable of investigating the possible impact that new features and components will have on a large, diverse software system. Must be able to clearly and concisely define technical issues. The developer must be adept at completing concept, functional, and design specifications with an appropriate level of detail for the audience.
Debugging – Strong debugging and problem solving skills. Capable of analyzing stack traces and system dumps to quickly triage an issue and devise a plan for resolution.
Required Technical Skills:
o Strong C++ programming and debugging
o Strong experience in designing large scale systems and good work experience on design patterns
o Strong Cloud development / deployment experience either using AWS or Azure
o Hands-on experience in data structures and algorithms
o Multi-threaded design and development
o Strong hands-on experience in Web Services (Apache)
o Good understanding of memory management.
Additional nice-to-have Technical Skills:
o Debugging experience using Windbg
o Work experience with C# and .Net is a plus
