About This Team:

 

The HR Technology & HR Workforce Insights team is looking for a Senior HR Data Analyst  with a deep customer focus, brilliant consulting capabilities and exceptional analytical skills. Our team advises through data-based insights and compelling storytelling to achieve program objectives and priorities, enables deep insights supporting multiple personas, and partners to ensure understanding across HR and all Divisions under Cloud Software Group.  The Senior HR Data Analyst will form a strategic partnership with HR - managing, building and modeling the data and business reporting needs supporting HRBI and Workforce Strategy.

Operating primarily within Workday tools, the Senior HR Data Analyst provides analysis and decision support, enabling ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analysis that can be utilized as the basis for making informed decisions in all businesses supported by our function. They will enable automation, production, and delivery of key data and business metrics in collaboration with cross-functional teams, balancing flexibility for the business with the necessary information governance enterprise-wide leveraging visualization and data manipulation tools such as Workday Prism, Discovery Board, Worksheets, Composite and Advanced Reporting. They will perform analysis and planning activities for operations including headcount management, attrition, performance, talent acquisition, audit and compliance and many other subject areas pertaining to organizations and human capital. The Senior HR Data Analyst will be able to document data findings, provide details, and present findings with recommendations to management. 


This is an individual contributor position and reports directly to the Director of HR Technology

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Promote the quick adoption of Workday Prism, Dashboard and Worksheets by creating or supporting the creation of Workday dashboards for HRBI analytics

  • Perform heavy data analysis and research, with the ability to manipulate, analyze, and trend results. Support creating new methods of communicating human capital analysis and reporting in standard Google Sheets and Documents, Workday Prism, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, Advanced Reporting and potentially other environments

  • Partnering with the HR Leaders, drive the development, implementation, maintenance and expansion of team data marts, tables and peripheral sources supporting required and desired analytics

  • Own the development and implementation of automation standards and create operational efficiencies using systematic methods to increase productivity and lead change

  • Perform business analyst tasks by researching, documenting and communicating business processes, data requirements and automated business process recommendations, including solutions that support consistent, automated reports and business metrics

  • Drive efficiencies in the team's workload and methods with the use of MS SQL Server tools (SSIS/SSRS), Access and Prism to streamline processes

  • Manage key data validations, including interaction with functional leads in data stewardship and identifying and driving resolution of data issues

  • Maintain alignment with role definitions as to appropriate visibility of HRBI data and measures

  • Work with HR on future data structures and deployment processes, and collaborate with the general maintenance of HRBI systems and related controls

  • Participate in activities associated with systems and reporting enhancements and releases including the creation and execution of project plans, documentation of business requirements, testing sessions, creating and reviewing test scripts and logistical requirements, and results documentation

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify valuable datasets from internal and external sources and models and provide in meaningful format

  • Support the design of ad hoc analysis and reporting requests and periodic organizational planning as needed

  • Document data findings, provide details, and present observations and conclusions with recommendations to management and teams as reporting capabilities and experience increase


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of systems experience in a mid-size or large global company in the technologies we use: Workday, Microsoft (Excel) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

  • 5-7 years working knowledge of databases and experience with front-end reporting tools including Workday Prism and Workday Advanced Reporting

  • Technical proficiency in Workday Visualization Tools required: Worksheets, Discovery Reports, Prism. Proficiency in SQL Data Modeling and Query building is a plus.

  • Experience with Workday Studio and integrations is a plus.

  • High level of proficiency Ability to translate business requirements into development of reports, visualizations and/or dashboards

  • Understanding of data and information management with ability to make recommendations for ensuring and validating data quality

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and drive system and process changes

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication and high proficiency in business acumen.

  • Exceptional customer focus and project management skills – able to interact and contract professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Passionate about optimizing impactful analysis-based deliveries with the opportunity to train and promote on thoughtful self-serve solutions.

  • Executive presentation skills: building meaningful slides, presenting them effectively to executive level clients and leadership, responding to questions on-the-fly based on in-role business context and acumen. Attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy and auditing.

  • Work with an analytical approach and attention to detail, exhibiting curiosity, flexibility and vision towards future state solutions

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with ability to express complex technical and business concepts

  • Team orientation - ability to collaborate and develop productive relationships across business functions and organizations

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to complete assignments given aggressive time constraints 

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NYC generally ranges; $140,541-$175,676 CA generally ranges; $146,651-$183,314 All other locations fall under our General State range; $122,210-$152,762 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work. U.S. based employees are typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance and disability benefits, 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
