You are a Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for DevOps and have experience developing, deploying, monitoring and running cloud services. You have expertise working with public cloud infrastructure providers like Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud. You have a solid understanding of Windows development, debugging, administration, automation frameworks and software development experience in C#. NET or Python. Position Overview:
Citrix is rapidly developing and growing its portfolio of large-scale cloud applications across all product lines, including app/desktop virtualization, networking, and content teamwork. These applications must deliver enterprise-grade performance, reliability, and integration while leveraging consumer internet economies of scale in multiple clouds (and in hybrid scenarios that reach behind the enterprise firewall). This requires excellent architecture and a DevOps mindset in software development, operations, and site reliability engineering.
In this position, you will be responsible for engineering public cloud services and embracing a DevOps culture. You will drive the technical architecture and standards/process to deliver the best customer experience.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop software and provide hands-on technical expertise to design, deploy, and optimize Cloud services
Improve the Security, Availability and Performance of the systems you build while managing Cloud Costs (COGS) and maintain Compliance guardrails. Build automation using industry tools (such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, etc.) to deploy hundreds of different services
Promote and contribute to best practices in library usage and end-to-end architecture. Work with other development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud native architecture principals
Identify and address patterns in infrastructure and applications that can be solved with a common solution
Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation to ensure cloud service availability
Basic Qualifications:
Managed and deployed a cloud infrastructure at scale within a public cloud environment
Experience managing deployments with Terraform Infrastructure as Code
Experience with at least one of the major cloud providers including Azure, AWS, or GCP
Have experience writing applications using C# or Python
Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years; or PhD without experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
5+ years of experience building Cloud services and distributed systems – deployment, monitoring, scaling, debugging is desirable
Azure and AWS certifications
Scripting in PowerShell/Bash
Certified or knowledgeable with scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe)
Experience with logging platforms and application performance metrics - NewRelic, Splunk, Application Insights
