As a Senior Software Engineer on the eCommerce and Design team, you will help define the next generation of our eCommerce platform and web-based user experiences.  Your goal: build the web components needed across ShareFile to create a consistent and delightful user experience for our customers.


Role Overview:

Now, let’s get to the details. This role will act as a technical leader on their team and across the entire organization with a focus on reusable web components shared across all products.

This includes:

  • Strategy
    • Trusted Advisor: As a senior engineer in the eCommerce and Design area, the team will be looking to you for guidance on how to take the user experiences created by Product Design and convert those into functional code.
    • Building the Right Things:  Work with other engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure that they have the components they need, when they need them.
    • Subject Matter Expert (SME):  Serve as an SME for all web-based user experience components used by our eCommerce systems.
  • Execution
    • Technical Excellence:  Drive high-quality design and implementation of reusable web components and ownership of our eCommerce platform.
    • Leadership:  Act as a technical leader and mentor for members of the eCommerce and Design team.
    • Stakeholder Engagement – Contribute to regular engagements with critical cross-functional stakeholders such as other engineering teams, product design, PM, marketing, and operations.


Your Superhero uniform Includes:

  • 4+ years’ experience as a software engineer developing web-based components using React (or similar), CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated history of providing high-quality technical solutions to web-based user experience challenges.
  • An ability to receive ambiguous requirements and work with stakeholders to refine them into clear and concise ones that others on your team can execute against.

  • Experience working with CMS or customer-facing eCommerce systems.
