Software Engineering Manager, eCommerce and Design Systems (Raleigh, NC)

As an Software Engineering Manager of eCommerce and Design Systems you will help build the web user interface components and experiences that our customers use every day. Your goal will be to ensure that our customers are able to seamlessly manage their accounts while providing reusable components that will help drive a consistent user experience across the entire product line.

Role Overview:

Now, let’s get to the details. This role will have ownership over our web-based eCommerce experiences and development of reusable components used through-out the ShareFile products. This includes:

• Strategy
  • Drive the eCommerce Vision: Partner with key stakeholders to define and execute the vision for our eCommerce platform.
  • Build the Team:  Raise the bar for the entire organization while building out a net-new engineering team focused on the eCommerce systems and web component design.
  • Measure what Matters:  Define the KPIs and metrics that matter to help communicate project and team status and identify areas of excellence and improvement.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME):  Serve as an SME for all eCommerce and web component deliverables across all ShareFile products.

  • Incremental Delivery:  Continuously deliver value to our customers through frequent releases of meaningful features.
  • Product Ownership:  Act not just as a people manager but as a product owner; driving measurable outcomes that improve our customer experience and impact the bottom line.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish a regular engagement cadence with critical cross-functional stakeholders such as other engineering teams, IT, sales, marketing, and business operations.
  • eCommerce Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting of operational issues related to the eCommerce systems.

Your Superhero uniform Includes:

• 4+ years of experience leading software engineering teams of 6-10 engineers.
• Demonstrated experience with CMS systems, eCommerce web sites, or developing reusable web components.
• The ability to clearly communicate complex technical challenges and solutions to diverse audiences.
• Deep technical experience in software engineering and systems design.

• Meaningful experience with at least one traditionally back-end programming language such as C# or Go, and user-facing development using React, CSS, and JavaScript.
