Role Overview:
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for eliciting business, functional and technical requirements to define software configuration and development for the advancement of our business. Position asks as a primary point of contact for our business users into the Systems and Process team with regard to systems questions, enhancement requests, and production support issues. Provides guidance to users on system usage and functionality. Research industry best practices to help deliver scalable and configurable software. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Driving process discussions with business subject matter experts and stakeholders to facilitate business process improvement.
Documenting use cases, user stories, requirements, and process flows.
Responsibility for the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
Configuring system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
Designing details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
Conducting testing for system changes and fixes. May also support work of technical developers by providing testing support. Documents test scenarios, expected outcomes and executes testing.
Conducting investigation to understand the root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across functions and/or businesses. Problems and issues faced can be numerous, sometimes where information is difficult to obtain.
Working to fully understand business processes and business user needs. Translates business asks to technical implementation needs. Engages more technical team members including architects and/or developers as needed to support enhancements and fixes.
Your Superhero Uniform Includes:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years; or a PhD without experience.
3+ years of experience supporting business processes and performing system configuration changes (at minimum one of either SalesForce or Oracle Netsuite)
Lean Six Sigma certification / experience a plus
