About This Team

This position will manage the Citrix Collections team for the Americas region.  The Americas region covers a large majority of the accounts for the Citrix worldwide portfolio.  We work in a very collaborative manner with other teams within Order to Cash function to get positive results.  We are focused on continuous improvement and automation in order to simplify our work.  

Job Description

The Senior Manager, Collections - Americas will be responsible for working with the Management Team on executing the established standards, policies and procedures.  You will participate in training, and help streamline processes to improve productivity.   This position will handle an assigned portfolio in the Americas.  This individual will identify root causes of collections issues, as well as provide suggestions to resolve said issues in an effort to improve the company’s collections procedures and to prevent future account collections issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of collectors for the Americas region including coaching, mentoring, and continuous training and development
  • Resolve complex problems & escalations and drive to resolution with business partners

  • Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due, respond to inquiries from internal and external customers

  • Regular monitoring of aged accounts to avoid payment delays

  • Drive internal metrics, strategies, and goals through the AR Team

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s to review status of accounts and proactively initiate collections activities with collectors.

  • Point of contact and support for the collections team and sales

  • Develop strategies & projects to reduce collection issues and escalations

  • Responds to any Internal and External audit requests and queries

  • Drive change and ensure scaling of processes through automation, work assessment and process improvement

  • Work directly with Senior Management on various projects as needed.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Process oriented with sound judgment; attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through
  • SAP or Oracle experience strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in Excel
  • People and Project Management experience is preferred

Nice-to-Haves

  • Ability to problem solve
  • Bring collection accounts to resolution which is reflected in KPIs
  • Strong Excel skills, working with pivot tables
  • Subject Matter Expert in Collections

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years or more experience in a fast-paced collection environment
