I interviewed last year and was not selected. Can I reapply?
Yes!
What technical courses should I take to prepare for software engineering interviews?
A broad, interdisciplinary background, with a strong understanding of computer science, is the key to any job in software engineering, at Citrix or elsewhere.
How do I prepare for the interview process?
Our interviews may be on the phone, via video conference, or in person. We recommend for you to structure your interview answers: It’s important to show how you arrive at a solution, so think out loud. You may be asked a problem-solving question. Talk through how you break a problem down into smaller aspects to get to a resolution.
Be prepared to demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the job description by sharing specific examples from your past, or ideas about how you would accomplish a specific task. For some of our openings you may be asked to write code, share a creative portfolio, or provide examples of your work in other ways.
For technical interviews, practice coding on a whiteboard, in Google Docs, or over the phone. You can find sample coding questions on sites like CodeLab, Quora, and Stack Overflow. The book “Cracking the Coding Interview” is also a good resource.
Prepare questions for your interviewers: thoughtful questions demonstrate your level of understanding, your interest, and your passions, so don't hold back. Your interview is an opportunity for you to get to know us too.
Helpful questions to think about as you prepare for your interview:
How do you work best, both as an individual and as part of a team?
What challenges have you faced at school or at work and how did you overcome them?
Which of your skills or experiences would be assets in the role and why?
Extra tip: If you don’t understand a question, ask your interviewers for clarification and take the time you need with responses.
Does Citrix sponsor visas?
There are jobs for which the company might be able to sponsor visas, depending on the requirements of the job, the qualifications of the candidate and which country the role is based.
