The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) plays a pivotal role in aligning technologies with customer business objectives and challenges, fostering innovation and broad adoption. The ATS works closely with a specific set of Enterprise customers, understanding their needs and the challenges they need to overcome. The ATS then guides each customer to retain and grow their use of Citrix technologies to achieve their objectives and create business value 

This role is mapped to our Enterprise Industry region and will report to the Account Technology Strategist (ATS) leader for that region. Those applying for the role should be based in Italy. Travel to the office, customers and events is expected as part of the role and can be as much as 60%

*Although aligned with the Lead ATS level, we are open to considering exceptional candidates for a higher-grade ATS role when appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a seasoned technology professional with field experience, account technology strategists operate within the Citrix Customer Sucess function; the ATS role: ​

  • Understands and leverages industry trends and insights.
  • Is accountable for assessing and delivering the potential of Citrix products to meet our customers’ business needs.
  • Provides technical expertise for the Citrix Platform throughout the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Achieves trusted advisor status and is known as a customer advocate.
  • Has strong knowledge of their customers' use cases and understands which Citrix solutions can be used to deliver increased value for these use cases.
  • Conducts product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer locations and Citrix facilities.
  • Orchestrates and coordinates cross-functional resources to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Has the ability to present and build complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions to gain customer commitment for our technology.
  • Assists with overcoming technical and competitive objections and accelerates adoption.
  • Manges their professional network of key decision-makers within their assigned accounts and develop extended relationships beyond our current contacts.
  • Has the ability to engages at both the technical decision maker and executive level within their customer.
  • Take a proactive approach to developing their customers, progressing initiatives and helping deliver customer outcomes
  • Serves as an external spokesperson and evangelist for Citrix’s vision and associated technologies.
  • Maintains and updates account intelligence within our systems of record.

 

Required Experience/Skills

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate deep understanding and experience of:

  • Citrix's competitive domain and technologies, such as end user compute, desktop as a service, virtual desktop infrastrcutre, application delivery and zero trust network access.
  • Managing a variety of customer or partner stakeholders to achieve speciic outcomes.
  • Prioritising their workload, context-switching between customers and projects as demands change.
  • Diffusing technical or political situations with partners and customers.
  • Operating in a fast and dynamic business environment.

The successful candidate must also:

  • Be flexible, dependable and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and a positive attitude; remaining accountable for actions and progress within their initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative activities in our systems of record (e.g. expenses, CRM updates, feedback questionnaires).
  • Possess excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Be able to travel meet with customers, partners and attend corporate events & meetings.


As this specific role sits within the Industry team, any knowledge of Telecommunications, Media, Technology or ISV organisations would be beneficial.
