The Lead Software Development Engineer in Test will work closely with Citrix Product Development and Test teams to design and implement scalable, long‑term automation strategies, while also contributing to the development and enhancement of automation infrastructure and frameworks. This role directly supports faster and consistent delivery of high‑quality, enterprise‑grade software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement flexible Automation testing solutions and test scripts for Citrix products
  • Execute Automation tests and identify product and infrastructure problems for quality assurance, collaborate with product stakeholders to support the root cause analysis and addressing
  • Participate in Automation platform and infrastructure related development and maintenance
  • Interface with internal teams to understand requirement for Product Automation development and solutions delivery
  • Understand Citrix products and technologies for Automation strategy and priority alignment
  • Continuously learning to keep pace with technology advancements.
  • Create documentation of agreed upon designs and implementation details. 
  • Take part in planning and daily standups to ensure Automation commitment  

Required Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years’ experience of system level programming and test on Windows or Unix/Linux.
  • Proficiency in C#, PowerShell, and Python, or equivalent experience. Familiarity with additional stacks or languages such as Java, Go, or front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. 
  • Strong expertise in software testing methodologies and automation test cases design. 
  • Ability to deploy automation setups including frameworks, approaches, and automation environments. 
  • Experienced in testing frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium , and  Automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and continuous integration pipelines.   
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), as this role collaborates closely with global engineering teams. 
  • In-depth knowledge of software, operating system, networking, and skills to leverage AI in daily work
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with container-based software development (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Understanding of building systems and the complexities of packaging and shipping software. 
  • Experience working with Cloud providers (ideally Azure). 
  • Good understanding of Windows System Management and Database fundamentals (SQL).
  • Self-motivated and tenacious when tackling tough technical issues.
  • Good team player
