Role Overview

As a Engineering Manager at Cloud Software Group, you will be responsible for managing the team, leading and executing efforts to ensure proper skills are available for current and future projects, and ensuring projects are delivered with market-leading quality. You will help implement methods and systems for effective operations & management of our cloud services

Job requirements

  • Drive implementation of a cloud platform to build observability and improve monitoring of our Citrix Secure Private Access (SPA) and Citrix Gateway Services (CGS).

  • Build automated systems to quickly and efficiently onboard and update cloud services for SPA and CGS teams.

  • Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of SPA & CGS product lines.

  • Own end-to-end availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions

  • Devise methods of software, systems & cloud platform engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant cloud services.

  • Continuous Improvement for system capacity and performance, optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation

  • Lead by example, mentor the team and establish credibility through quality technical execution.

  • Build team morale, training and providing development opportunities to grow skill sets.

  • Communication and collaboration across all disciplines and functions.

Your Qualification Includes:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent (Masters preferred)

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience

Specialized Knowledge and skills:

  • Extensive work experience around observability and monitoring of cloud based solutions.

  • Rearchitecting the designs and revamp the old stack

  • Breaking up monolith solutions into microservices

  • Technology:

    • Experience in Client software development, SRE/DevOps, including deployment pipelines, test automation, monitoring and alerting, and incident response 

    • Experience in serverless, such as API Gateway

  • Experience with Reliability Engineering and Safe Agile methodologies is a plus
