Responsibilities
Managing and contributing to the development and maintenance of TIBCO Mainframe File transfer, TIBCO EMS client’s for z & i and the IBM z/PDT operations and its related systems. Also under the duties will be training existing staff, TIBCO License Server and Mainframe Observability integration.
Understand software best practices, design strategy and planning, test case development, deployment and execution, and identify product defects, debug issues and have them reported into a defect tracking system
Experience working with Agile methodologies, GitHub and AI Tools and concepts
Work with product management and other teams to understand the requirements and features, and to translate them into development tasks and quality assurance tests
Work independently, a self-starter that requires minimum supervision
Debug program failures and help identify the root cause of failures
Develop and assist with automation test suites.
Create and run manual tests for scenarios that are difficult to automate
Developing/maintaining execution plans and Testing Specifications
Work with remote teams, communicate status, schedules effectively and clearly.
Escalate issues in time and able to follow up for their status
Ability to think out of the box, be dynamic and add value to existing implementations
Key Requirement skills
Minimum of 15 years of experience in IBM applications development
Minimum of 8 years in advanced IBM assembler programming, using Macros, SRBs, etc
Minimum of 5 years of application development for advanced C development using Rational or Visual Studio Code
Good knowledge, REXX and ISPF programming languages
Minimum BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent related skill set
Database and files experience required, for DB2, VSAM, QSAM, ISAM and/or SQL Server
UI automation experience using tools like Protractor, Selenium or Google Web Toolkit
Vast experience working on IBM z/OS, IBM z/PDT, IBM z/VM and UNIX systems
Experience in any scripting languages like REXX, python
Experience in technically coordinating, collaborating and working with remote teams
Experience in using GIT repositories or similar systems
