You might have heard about Spotfire before, but even if you haven't it is very likely that you have used something that was produced or engineered with the help of Spotfire. Organizations usually collect huge amounts of data, but it is difficult to really make use of it. With Spotfire this data can be analyzed to get insights, improve planning, take corrective actions, optimize processes, select the best options, find underlying connections etc. Spotfire is a visual data science platform that is easy to start with, and at the same time it has depth: it is possible to write scripts, it has several extension points, and can be integrated using various technologies.

About the team

The team is responsible for the backend parts of our product, except for data retrieval. People joining Spotfire tend to stay. Most members of the Platform team have worked 10+ years with Spotfire and feel a responsibility for our product. We try to write code with a long-term perspective to get good, maintainable, and secure code.

The platform team has development and testing in Sweden, India, and Romania.

We are looking for a QA Engineer with a focus on enterprise installations and scaling. 

Who you are

  • You have extensive experience from deployment and administration of large systems
  • Can set up an environment that tests the system under enterprise like conditions with respect to traffic, amount of data etc.
  • Can automate tests
  • Will not hesitate to repeat tests again and again
  • Have an administrator's perspective

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience of testing or maintaining enterprise IT-systems
  • Knowledge of IAM systems, SSO, hypervisors, networking, IT security systems
  • Conversational Swedish language proficiency
  • Valid work permit for Sweden
  • Familiarity with databases, scripting, log collectors, process monitoring
  • Understanding and experience of IT requirements and challenges related to software development and product implement
