  • Advocacy & Influence: Works to influence others to accept the QA function’s view/practices and agree/accept new testing concepts, automation practices, and a "quality-first" approach.

  • Executive Reporting: Requires the ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding software quality risks, release status, and matters of significant importance to the organization.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Frequently responsible for providing guidance, technical coaching, and training to other QA engineers and developers across the Company within your area of expertise.

  • Project Management: Typically responsible for managing large, complex quality engineering project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Advanced Expertise: Requires mastery-level knowledge of software quality assurance, test automation architecture, and distributed systems, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management and agile delivery.

  • Education & Experience: Typically requires a University Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Subject Matter Expert: Recognized master in the professional discipline of Quality Engineering, test automation, and performance testing.

  • Strategic Execution: Proven track record of implementing strategic quality goals and leading enterprise-scale automation efforts.

  • Ambiguity Management: Exceptional ability to navigate and solve problems that are typically undefined and/or complex within high-performance computing environments.

Optional Experience/Skills

  • Additional Languages: Proficiency in multiple programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go) utilized for building robust automation frameworks.

  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with grid computing architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
