Team: Datasynapse GridServer
As a Senior Application Development Engineer for the Datasynapse GridServer team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing the product. You will tackle complex technical challenges related to distributed workloads, scalability, and system concurrency. Operating as a core technical contributor, you will drive architectural decisions, write robust code, troubleshoot intricate system behaviors, to ensure the continued delivery of mission-critical middleware solutions.
The Datasynapse GridServer team is at the forefront of distributed computing, developing high-performance middleware that powers mission-critical, highly scalable applications. We build and maintain the platform that allows enterprise organizations to process massive computational workloads efficiently and securely. As a development team, we focus on maximizing compute resource utilization, minimizing latency, and building seamless APIs for our enterprise clients.
Application Design & Development: Design, code, test, and deploy scalable software features and applications that integrate deeply with the GridServer platform and its APIs.
Distributed Systems Engineering: Optimize complex computational workloads for distributed execution across large-scale server grids, focusing on concurrency, multithreading, and low-latency processing.
Complex Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve intricate technical issues inherent to distributed systems, including race conditions, memory management faults, network bottlenecks, and state synchronization.
Architecture & Innovation: Provide measurable input into the architectural roadmap, proposing new technologies, frameworks, or design patterns that improve system performance and maintainability.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Champion engineering excellence by writing clean, maintainable code, implementing robust unit tests, and conducting rigorous peer code reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Principal QA Engineers, DevOps, and Product Management to define requirements, ensure release readiness, and establish operational plans.
Mentorship: Act as a technical guide and mentor to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Agile Delivery: Participate actively in agile ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning, task estimation, and the translation of strategic goals into actionable development tasks.
Education & Experience: University Degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant software engineering experience.
Core Programming: Expert-level proficiency in object-oriented programming languages heavily utilized in enterprise systems (e.g., Java, C++, or C#).
Concurrency Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of multithreading, parallel processing, and concurrent programming paradigms.
Distributed Architecture: Proven experience building or integrating with distributed systems, microservices, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
Debugging Skills: Advanced analytical skills with a track record of profiling and debugging complex, multi-node applications.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Domain Knowledge: Direct experience working with grid computing platforms or enterprise middleware.
Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and tooling.
