We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Application Development Engineer to join our collaborative team. This professional role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer ready to take the next step into a senior position.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience with deep expertise in the Microsoft stack, including .NET, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server (or equivalent).
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining our cutting-edge cloud-based integration solutions. The work will encompass development work on both back-end systems and connectivity components for third-party integrations.
This position offers a high degree of autonomy, requiring the ability to work independently, manage moderately complex technical challenges, and drive significant impact on departmental goals. Beyond development, this role includes opportunities to mentor team members, lead process improvements, and potentially own entire projects or processes.
What You Will Do
Design & Develop: Create, develop, and maintain robust, high-quality software solutions using .NET (Framework/Core), C#, TypeScript, JavaScript and MS SQL Server.
Troubleshooting & Resolution: Independently address and resolve technical issues of moderate complexity, leveraging strong analytical abilities and accumulated experience.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to our systems, processes, and products to boost performance and efficiency.
Project Ownership: Take responsibility for projects, features and essential processes on the Scribe Online Platform that are assigned to you.
Collaboration: Engage effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical standards and operational procedures.
AI: Integrating AI tools, such as CoPilot or equivalent solutions, to assist with day-to-day coding tasks.
Strategic Influence: Contribute to and influence operational decisions regarding technical practices within and outside the immediate job function.
Goal Achievement: Directly contribute to achieving operational targets that significantly impact the departmental results.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience.
Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in:
C# leveraging .NET Framework and .NET Core.
TypeScript and JavaScript.
Microsoft SQL Server or comparable database technologies.
Experience with Git, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, and test automation technologies.
Education: University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). A Master’s degree requires 3+ years of experience; a PhD requires no prior experience.
Architectural principles: Understanding of object-oriented design, building microservices, and software engineering best practices
Independence: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision and manage complex tasks autonomously.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Estimation & Planning: Proven track record of breaking down complex requirements and providing accurate time estimates.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Angular and ASP.NET web applications
Familiarity with project management concepts and methodologies.
Familiarity with modern development and delivery tools: JIRA, TeamCity, GitHub
Practical experience with cloud-based integration platforms or iPaaS solutions (e.g., TIBCO Scribe Online).
Experience in converting legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core.
Experience building cloud-native applications for AWS and Azure platforms.
Knowledge of authorization protocols, including OAuth, for third-party systems integration.
Experience in designing and building Generative AI features is a strong plus.
