The Senior Director of Engineering will be accountable for the following strategic and organizational outcomes:
Engineering Vision & Strategy: Define and relentlessly communicate a multi-year, strategic engineering roadmap for the Integration Team that aligns directly with the company's long-term business goals. Accountable for technology choices, architecture quality, and system scalability across all domains.
Organizational Leadership & Scale: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, geographically distributed engineering organization. Drive organizational design and talent strategy to scale the team effectively and maintain a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Architectural Excellence: Directly govern the architectural decisions for complex, large-scale systems. Ensure engineering rigor, operational resilience, security posture, and performance optimization are maintained at world-class standards for multi-regional, mission-critical platforms.
Business & Technology Alignment: Act as a critical executive partner to Product Management and Business Leadership, translating business objectives and market needs into executable, impactful engineering initiatives.
Operational Stewardship: Foster a culture of operational excellence by implementing robust DevOps practices and ensuring global compliance and security standards are met.
Driving Innovation & Transformation: Identify, champion, and integrate disruptive technologies (e.g., cloud architectures) to modernize core platforms, establish industry differentiation, and drive a measurable competitive advantage.
Executive Communication: Provide transparent, strategic updates on engineering progress, risks, organizational health, and the strategic impact of the Integration platform. Champion accountability for key engineering and business KPIs
A successful candidate will demonstrate executive-level mastery in the following areas:
Executive Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a large, complex engineering organization (30+ people scale preferred) and to command respect across all levels of the business and technical communities.
Strategic Architecture & System Design: Deep, expert-level understanding of designing and operating large-scale, globally distributed cloud platforms and integration systems.
Organizational Transformation & Change Management: Track record of successfully leading major organizational shifts, modernizing legacy systems, and driving adoption of new engineering paradigms (e.g., migrating to microservices, adopting GenAI).
Complex Stakeholder Management: Superior communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage conflict, drive consensus, and align disparate executive priorities across global business units.
