About This Team:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our ibi WebFOCUS Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our flagship business intelligence and analytics ibi WebFOCUS platform. The ibi WebFOCUS platform helps organizations manage and use their data to make better decisions by providing tools for data access, integration, and analysis. The company provides solutions for industries like financial services, healthcare, government, and retail.
About this Role:
The Senior QA Engineer position requires a highly experienced and technically proficient Engineer to lead and execute quality assurance activities across our software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience defining test strategies, designing complex test plans, implementing robust automation frameworks, and mentoring junior team members. This role requires a strong focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and software products.
Key Responsibilities
Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies, test plans, and test cases based on product requirements, focusing on scope, coverage, and resource allocation.
Participate in Feature Teams and Standups
Work as an extension of Product Managers/ Developers and provide feedback, suggestions and improvement recommendations of product functionality, design, etc.
Lead the QA function by serving as Subject Matter Expert(SME), providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
Monitor and analyze automation test activities for assigned product areas, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Oversee and execute various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance and security testing. Logs, manages and tests defects in Bug tracking system
Ensure all SDLC requirements defined in the QA Testing Life Cycle are met
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years QA Testing Experience
Client/Server QA
Windows / Unix Knowledge
RDBMS - MSSQL / Oracle / DB2 / PostgreSQL etc..
Automation Experience (Selenium preferred)
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
Agile / Scrum Experience
WebFOCUS Knowledge
