Job Description:

You are a Senior Software Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in in Object Oriented Programming Language C#, Net Technologies, or Java. You also have a proven understanding of programming paradigms and constructs, data structures, algorithms, scripting languages, and frameworks as well as a passion for solving sophisticated problems. You are well rounded in the practice of driving innovation and managing the entire software development application life cycle. You are self- driven, proactive, enthusiastic Software Engineer with a passion for technology and have a can-do attitude. You are a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position Overview:

The position within CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops) will focus on the development of Citrix-Managed Cloud Services product line, which will present you with a unique opportunity to expand problem-solving situations that will

become an invaluable individual career asset, such as knowledge on Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, Vmware, XenServer and etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Design, DevOps, and Product Security teams to understand requirements for software development in a Scaled Agile environment.

  • This role will be heavily leaning Back-end technologies, with about 80% to 90% of the work done with Backend developmental tools/technologies.

  • Compose and maintain detailed design specifications and component documents.

  • Design alongside a team of engineers focusing on 'design first' thinking while incorporating different end user personas.

  • Willing to work on the latest virtualization and cloud technologies, advancing towards the Citrix vision of consumer driven access to applications, desktops, and cloud-based computing.

  • Embrace and institute best practices and coding standards (e.g., code reviews, logging and instrumentation, static/dynamic code analysis, code coverage, unit, integration tests) within the team.

  • Working as a part of an Agile software development team.

  • Take pride in their work in delivering and deploying software applications that matter to End-Users.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent in a technical field with a preferred degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • 4-6 years of object oriented programming experience in C#, .Net Core technology Stack or Java with a strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals(Data Structures, Algorithms).

  • Demonstrated work experience developing Backend-services, Micro-services, Cloud Services, Rest API and Web API is required.

  • Previous working experience and fundamental understanding with Cloud Computing technologies with Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS will be required

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NYC generally ranges; $166,221-$184,690 CA generally ranges; $173,430-$192,700 All other locations fall under our General State range; $144,540-$160,600 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work. U.S. based employees are typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance and disability benefits, 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
