Data Management Summer Internship: Web UI and modernizing interfaces

SE – Gothenburg Sweden 

Summer internship, ~11 weeks 

Overview 

A strategic initiative has been created to move to a complete and modern cloud native experience. This is an opportunity to differentiate with the most modern, easy to use and dynamic user experience for self-service analytics and data analysis.

Spotfire possesses extensive capabilities for cleaning, transforming and calculating data, as well as extension points for running external functions or AI-models written in languages like R and Python.

Analysts and business users expect this functionality to be available with the same level of features and options from a web, Windows or Mac client. As more and more people prefer using a web client we see a large need to migrate functionality that has only been available in the installed client to the web.

The Data Management Feature team is responsible for implementing and maintaining all handling of data once inside Spotfire, including all calculations, transformations and data functions as well as a visual data overview of tables, relations, transformations etc.

Internship 

We are currently reworking and reinventing a lot of our UIs as part of the All-web UI initiative. The task for our interns this year would be to help us improve our UIs and make them available on the web.

Qualifications 

You have experience in software development and experience in systems development in C#.net and a special interest in areas like algorithms and optimization. Not afraid of reading and figuring out complex code.

Since we value communication highly, you don’t have a problem expressing yourself in either Swedish or English (written and spoken).

You have full working rights for Sweden and will be working onsite in the Gothenburg office.
