Principal Responsibilities

Strategic Allocation & Methodology

  • Design & Evolution: Develop and maintain the logic for how shared platform costs (Executive, IT, HR, CLO/Legal) are allocated across independent balance sheets.
  • Driver-Based Modeling: Collaborate with functional leads (CIO, CHRO, CLO) to identify the specific unit drivers of their costs, transforming static overhead into a dynamic, transparent service catalog.
  • Capital Structure Integrity: Ensure all service charges are defensible and aligned with the requirements of our independent debt structures and external stakeholders.

Pillar Advisory & Commercial Management

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the primary financial liaison for the Pillar strategy. You will educate leadership on their service charge profiles and help them optimize their use of shared resources.
  • Conflict Resolution: Serve as the objective arbiter for allocation queries, ensuring that the financial relationship between the platform and the Pillars remains fair and incentivizes efficient growth.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor the "unit cost" of HoldCo services over time to ensure the platform is delivering true economies of scale to the Pillars.

Planning & Executive Reporting

  • Integrated Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process for Shared Service units, ensuring HoldCo’s financial goals are aligned with the Pillars' independent P&L constraints.
  • Executive Visibility: Provide the CFO and Corporate Executive Team with data-driven insights into the ROI of centralized functions and the overall health of the intercompany economic ecosystem.
  • Operational Narrative: Partner with the Controller and Tax teams to provide the commercial narrative behind the GAAP and Tax reporting for internal and external audiences.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, Operations Finance, or Management Consulting. Experience in a multi-entity or "Platform-style" environment is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level financial modeling and the ability to build scalable, automated allocation engines from complex data sets.
  • Communication: Exceptional executive presence. Ability to navigate sensitive commercial negotiations with autonomous business unit leaders.
  • Mindset: A "Commercial Owner" who can treat centralized G&A as a service business and the Pillars as sophisticated clients.
