Role Overview:

The Corporate Development team partners closely with senior leadership to drive Cloud Software Group’s most critical strategic initiatives. The team leads all aspects of the M&A lifecycle, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic investments, and also supports broader corporate strategy initiatives such as long-range planning, capital allocation, and cross-functional value creation efforts.

We are seeking an Associate to own and support a range of strategic and analytical workstreams. This role provides regular exposure to senior leadership and business unit executives and the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Operations, and Legal.

The Associate will contribute to evaluating strategic opportunities, supporting transaction processes, and developing financial models, valuation analyses, and analytical frameworks used to inform major strategic and capital allocation decisions across the company.

Responsibilities:

The Associate will contribute to a range of strategic and transaction-related initiatives, including:
  • Strategic Analysis: Develop financial and operational analyses to support key decision-making. Build financial models and analytical frameworks used to evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, and internal strategic initiatives
  • Transaction Execution: Support the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions, strategic investments, and partnerships. Contribute to valuation analysis, financial due diligence, and coordination of cross-functional diligence workstreams (Legal, HR, Product, Finance, etc.)
  • Executive Materials: Prepare investment memoranda, transaction summaries, strategic analyses, and presentation materials used in discussions with senior leadership to support key strategic and capital allocation decisions
  • Pipeline Development: Help maintain the company’s deal pipeline by identifying, screening, and evaluating potential acquisition targets and strategic opportunities. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support opportunity assessment

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience: 2 - 5 years in a relevant analytical role
  • Typical backgrounds include: investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, transaction / deal advisory, valuation, corporate finance / financial planning and analysis
    Skills: strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, experience building financial models and conducting valuation analysis, ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly, strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams, comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NY generally ranges: $149,786-$224,680 CA generally ranges: $156,298-$234,448 All other locations fall under our General State range: $130,249-$195,373 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work. U.S. based employees are typically offered access to healthcare, life insurance and disability benefits, 401(k) plan and company match, among others.
