Lead Account Technical Strategist

Technical Strategy and Advisory:

  • Collaborate with CSP partners to understand their business goals and technical requirements.
  • Develop and deliver tailored technical strategies and roadmaps that align with partners' objectives and Citrix's solutions.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and thought leadership to help partners maximize the value of Citrix technologies.

Partner Enablement:

  • Conduct technical training sessions, workshops, and webinars to educate partners on Citrix products and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution architectures, deployment guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Assist partners in building and enhancing their technical capabilities to drive successful Citrix implementations.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders within partner organizations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for partners within Citrix, ensuring their technical needs and feedback are effectively communicated.
  • Facilitate regular technical reviews and check-ins to monitor partner satisfaction and address any emerging issues.

Technical Support and Escalation:

  • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, working closely with Citrix support and engineering teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical problems, minimizing impact on partner operations.

Sales Engineering Support:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to build and expand current CSP partner relationships.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept engagements, and technical presentations.
  • Assist in the development of sales proposals, RFP responses, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Work with partners to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, driving additional revenue through value-added services and solutions.
  • Translate partner requirements into functional and technical specifications for Citrix solutions.

Technical Evangelism:

  • Articulate the technical features and benefits of Citrix products and solutions to partners
  • Develop and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of Citrix technologies.
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and conferences to promote Citrix solutions and establish thought leadership.

Market and Industry Insights:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape relevant to cloud services and Citrix solutions.
  • Share insights and best practices with partners to help them stay competitive and innovative in their markets.

Workshops and Coaching:

  • Conduct technical workshops for technical staff.
  • Facilitate technical exchange of best practices.
  • Provide coaching in Citrix projects around DaaS and SaaS.
  • Develop a network of technical contacts at focus channel partners and internally within Citrix.

Qualifications (include knowledge, skills, abilities, and related work experience):

  • Ability to apply a thorough understanding of Citrix products.
  • Experienced in motivating, training, and conducting seminars to drive mind share and increase Citrix revenues within an assigned territory.
  • Ability to maintain relationships with technical resources at all levels of a partner organization.
  • Thorough understanding of technical sales techniques and processes, including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals.
  • Able to articulate and understand partner strategy and Citrix solution strategy to a technical level of detail for their area of focus.
  • Ability to diffuse complicated technical and political situations with partners and customers.
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies.
  • Proficient understanding of one or more of the following areas of focus:
    • Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
    • Citrix DaaS
    • NetScaler
    • Endpoint Management
    • PowerShell scripting knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, SoftLayer, etc.).
  • Must have a good understanding of multi-tenant concepts
  • Exhibits a positive attitude, represents Citrix to business partners and customers in the best possible fashion, and fosters interest in our offerings
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic, attitude, and follow-through ability
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned region
  • 2-3+ years of prior systems engineering experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology.
