Cloud Software Group (CSG) is seeking a talented and passionate Principal Cloud Development Engineer to join our dynamic DaaS (Desktop as a Service) team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of our cloud services. You will be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies to deliver a seamless and secure experience for our customers. You will also mentor a team of Engineers to build scalable and resilient Cloud microservices.
Job Description
You are a Principal Cloud Development Engineer with 14 plus years of experience in Object Oriented
Programming, .Net Technologies, or Java. You'll be innovating and leading development of software alongside a Talented Team of Developers to create and deliver the latest in Cloud Solutions for our Customer's, Users and Partners Globally. Responsibilities range from conceptualizing ideas, targeted research, and rapid prototyping to determine feasibility, evaluate risks, and then create well-thought-out designs and implementation. The position will initially be focused on the Citrix DaaS (Desktop as a Service) Product Line. Developing Citrix DaaS will present you with a unique opportunity to expand problem-solving situations that makes you an invaluable asset, helping deliver the Best in Software and Cloud Products for our Customers and End-Users.
Responsibilities:
Interface with Architects, Product Managers, Support, and Operations to understand requirements for developing Proof of Concepts, Prototypes to Final Product Features.
Compose and maintain design specifications and component documents.
Back End Development improving Business Logic - enhancing existing features, and building new ones.
Design alongside a Team of Engineers focusing on Design First Thinking, incorporating different End User Personas.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new ways to maximize development efficiency and increase adoption of Gen AI tools.
Embrace agile development methodologies like Jira, SCRUM, SAFE or Kanban.
Embrace and institute best practices and coding standards such as Code Reviews, Integration Testing, UnitTesting, Logging and Instrumentation
Understand and troubleshoot field issues. Diagnose customer problems through systematic root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Engage in continuous learning, both on the job and through available technical training, to develop knowledge and skills
Mentor and guide junior engineers and help them succeed in their responsibilities
Lead from the front and help troubleshoot service outages and complex customer escalations.
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech) degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred, with at least 14 years of directly related work experience. Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education
Strong Understanding of Computer Science Fundamentals; Algorithms and Data Structures.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team with experience in cloud-native development and microservice architectures
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts
Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity management, access control, Compliance control, Incident Response, etc.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on identifying and resolving performance and security issues in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Development experience with .NET technologies like C#
Expertise in a Core Scripting Language like Python or PowerShell
Experience with Cloud Computing Technologies; Microsoft Azure or Amazon EC2.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and automation frameworks for building, testing, and deploying cloud-native applications
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) for automating cloud infrastructure deployments
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing microservices
Domain knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory or Azure Active Directory
Experience with Sumo Logic or Splunk for troubleshooting in a cloud environment
Moderate knowledge of Encryption and cryptography
