Position Overview

This position will require a talented, highly motivated, and collaborative Software Test Engineer to work on innovative technologies within the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Engineering team. The CVAD team is responsible for a core set of services and technologies that Citrix customers around the globe depend on to power productivity with secure access to high-definition apps and desktops on any operating system or mobile device.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and Engineers to grasp and influence product requirements for development of new features and cloud services
  • Create and maintain agile test planning & execution throughout SDLC while accounting for core coverage areas such as automation, functional, performance, stress and scalability testing
  • Perform exploratory testing while focusing on various end user experiences and customer personas
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues from the field alongside Development, DevOps and Technical Support teams for quick turnaround on problem resolution
  • Defect management: Bug reporting, validation and regression testing while ensuring product integration loopbacks
  • Research and implement industry best practices in agile methodologies to support Continuous Integration development models
  • Collaborating with Field/Sales Readiness teams to ensure customer success by providing technical guidance & consultancy on product deployment/adoption scenarios
  • Deliver product best practices, KB recommendations, tutorials, videos, How do I articles and blogs to facilitate customer adoption of our products

Basic Job Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and minimum 5 years of prior software engineering/testing experience; or a Masters degree with 3 years of experience. BS or MS degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred, with requisite directly related work experience.  Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education.
  • Experience managing software projects, leading and mentoring others
  • Experience with virtualization and provisioning technologies
  • Experience with cloud-computing platforms e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Proficiency in OS & Networking advanced concepts
  • Proficiency in Windows Systems administration and MS Active Directory
  • Knowledge of CI/CD deployment models
  • Proficiency in one or more object oriented programming language(s) and/or scripting language(s), i.e Java, C++, C#, .NET, Python, Perl, shell
