Our team: 

The StoreFront Services team, based in Cambridge UK develops Citrix StoreFront, the sole access layer for our Desktop-as-a-Service solutions. Our systems pull data from several components to provide information consumed by clients for mobile, desktop and the web. While maintaining a focus on scalability, reliability and security, we also work on new features and transformation projects across the full technology stack. Our teams work on varied projects and are empowered to use Scrum or Kanban as it best suits their needs. We dedicate Fridays to learning and innovation, and have seen innovative projects reach production code. Role Responsibilities: 

As a Software Engineer in the StoreFront team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly available and scalable backend services while also helping with technical discussions, collaborating with other staff, principal engineers, architects and product managers to help deliver world-class software solutions to our customers. 

  • Help in designing and implementing highly available and scalable backend services.

  • Influence and collaborate with internal teams to ensure the end to end delivery of solutions.

  • Help drive world-class software solutions for our customers. 

  • Participate in technical forums and contribute to cultural and technical enhancements

  • Participate in reviews of work and designs produced by colleagues.

  • Contribute to documentation of agreed upon designs and implementation details.

  • Participate as an active member of a product development team, taking part in planning and daily standups.

  • Participate in on-call escalations when needed.

Requirements:

  • You have experience in C# .NET or equivalent, preferably with some coding experience in other stacks or languages (golang, nodeJs, rust, etc.)

  • Able to learn fast, be inquisitive and work within an agile environment.

  • You have experience working with Cloud providers (ideally Azure).

  • You feel comfortable troubleshooting issues using Visual Studio or another debugger.

  • Quality is important to you and you’ve seen the value in automated testing, CI/CD and testing methodologies such as BDD, wiremock.

  • You have experience developing  solutions with supportability in mind (telemetry, observability, …)

Nice to have:

  • You have experience with container based software development (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • You have worked in distributed systems and teams.

Location:

In our Cambridge office on the Science Park, with occasional working from home as required.
