Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the front-line support team for sales support team members performing day to day activity relating to quoting and sales exceptions. 

  • Lead daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly planning  that can build sales consistency that will drive better productivity and improve efficiency and SLAs within the quoting team.

  • Detail oriented professional who can leverage analytical prowess to deliver precise and reliable forecast accuracy for quotes created or validated.

  • Should be able measure utilization, provide insights, keeping track of quality while maintaining SLA’s. 

  • Responsible for evaluating systems and processes, proactively recommending adjustments or enhancements to address challenges and elevate the efficiency and functionality within the job area.

  • Responsible for setting up robust data governance protocols & quality checks to optimize sales support day to day tasks for the team.

  • Ability to develop process documentation and guide team members on creating logical detailed documentation.

  • Solve problems and provide root cause analysis and updates to leadership on a regular basis

  • Participate in conversations that necessitate alignment among stakeholders or clarification that will drive process improvements and simplifications. 

  • Identify training gaps and create training opportunities when needed and work with change management leaders to implement.

  • Proficiently communicate strategies and directives to sales support team members, stakeholders and others, ensuring clarity and alignment with objective goals.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating effective communication to inspire and guide team members, cultivating a culture of clear and influential communication within the sales support department.

  • Should have working knowledge of Salesforce, quoting nuances and should be able to lead a team requiring support on versatile projects within quote creation. 

  • Allocate, coordinate, and/or negotiate the availability of cross-functional resources from various departments in accounting to execute on complex or high-visibility projects or initiatives globally.

  • Perform key functions to recruit top-notch process optimization staff including interviewing, hiring, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling and coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed.

  • Lead quarterly reviews for the team members, should be able to provide them coaching and guidance on their performance, should be able to develop individual performance improvement plans and team performance improvement plans. 

  • Responsible for driving career progression conversation for the team members and providing guidance on career pathing based on individual and organizational roadmaps. 

  • Should be flexible in extending working hours during quarter ends and year end closure activities. 

Required Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field

  • 7-10 years of operations experience

  • Positions held in leading sales operations, quoting, deal desk or sales support
