As an Engineering Manager at ShareFile, you will help build out our Solution Platform, responsible for building out various microservice based components that powers ShareFile! This is a highly critical space that is pivotal for the business to safely accelerate our engineering and product innovation and delivery to our customers.  

Role Overview: Now, let’s get to the details. This role will assume ownership of our Vertical Components and Data Migration teams in India, collaborating closely with counterparts in Raleigh to deliver our platform offering to solution partners. This includes: 

Strategy:

  • Drive the Solution Platform Vision: Partner with key stakeholders to define and execute the vision for our platform.
  • Vertical Components: Lead and manage the Vertical Components team, which provides customers with the ability to manage tabular structured data in ShareFile.
  • Data Migration: Oversee the implementation and project delivery of a data migration capability, which allows competitor customers to seamlessly move to ShareFile.
  • Technologist: Be aware of the newest trends and technologies and drive innovation on the team 

Execution:

  • Incremental Delivery: Continuously deliver value to our internal customers through frequent releases of meaningful improvements to our systems. 
  • Product Ownership:  Act not just as a people manager but as a product owner; driving measurable outcomes that improve our customer experience and impact the bottom line. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish a regular engagement cadence with critical cross-functional stakeholders such as other engineering teams, IT, sales, marketing, and business operations. 
  • Build:  Build high performing engineering teams by growing talent in the organization and hiring and retaining talent. 

Your Superhero Uniform Includes: 

  • 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams of 6-10 engineers. 
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex technical challenges and solutions to diverse audiences. 
  • Deep technical experience as a full-stack engineer building cloud-native application.  
  • Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within multiple functional area.

Your Superhero Strengths Include: 

  • Develop, coach, and mentor Engineers to build high-performance teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with scalable Cloud Platforms on either Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
  • A background Full Stack developing, including modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), backend languages (Node.js, Python, C#) and various NoSQL databases (Mongo, Memcached, etc)
  • Experienced in SRE/DevOps, including IaC tools, deployment pipelines, test automation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
