About This Team
The Citrix Consulting (CCS) team focuses on new and advanced capabilities of our products and use cases to help expand a customer’s journey with Cloud Software Group. As part of this team, you'll collaborate with other Citrix go-to-market teams to execute on a shared vision with our customers and help them achieve their strategic goals.
Our team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes adaptability, knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes. Our core mission is to empower customers in achieving their strategic objectives and overcoming obstacles when implementing Citrix technologies. To do this, we need to understand our solutions deeply – how they work at a fundamental level – and continuously master the leading practices for real-world deployments.
Job Description
As a Lead Consultant at Citrix, you'll play a crucial role in driving the successful adoption and expansion of our solutions for a diverse range of customers, including Fortune 100 and 500 companies. You'll operate with significant autonomy, applying your deep technical expertise to design and implement solutions within often complex enterprise IT environments.
In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with our go-to-market and product teams (including Account Technology Strategists, Solutions Architects, Product Managers, and Engineers). Your insights will be essential in understanding customer needs, providing expert product guidance, and aligning technical challenges with advanced Citrix capabilities. You'll assess, design, and deploy technical solutions with minimal oversight, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to industry-leading practices.
Success in this position requires hands-on experience with core Citrix technologies, including Virtual Apps and Desktops, DaaS, and NetScaler Gateway, ideally within an enterprise IT deployment that includes cloud infrastructures and automation. We're also looking for someone eager to proactively learn and master emerging technologies at the forefront of Citrix innovation, ready to roll up their sleeves in a lab environment.
Beyond project execution, you'll be a recognized expert in consulting methodologies, capable of leading multiple simultaneous engagements and initiatives. You'll also significantly contribute to our team's growth through coaching and knowledge sharing. We encourage you to identify opportunities for supporting mentorship, training, industry events, and the Citrix Community, helping to shape leading practices and promote new solutions in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
Possess a deep understanding of core Citrix technologies like Virtual Apps and Desktops, DaaS, and/or NetScaler Gateway, coupled with extensive experience in enterprise IT environments.
Act as a trusted advisor and highlight the value of Citrix technologies by leveraging your technical subject matter expertise in designated specialist focus areas. This includes navigating customer decision points, showcasing customized demos, leading complex assessments, designs and implementations, and providing insights on competing solutions.
Serve as an escalation point for complex technical challenges, applying advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to ensure successful resolution.
Document unique and complex configurations in your areas of technical expertise to establish organizational knowledge and maintain consistency in delivery of projects.
Work closely with Citrix Product Management and Engineering teams to provide feedback influencing product roadmaps and solutions based on customer needs.
Manage and execute technical projects across multiple customer engagements, collaborating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery, high-quality outcomes, and strategic alignment.
Build awareness of emerging capabilities and use cases among customers and internal Citrix teams, leveraging success stories to facilitate adoption and remove barriers.
Proactively contribute to internal initiatives, including but not limited to webinars, reference architectures, and guides for Tech Zone, to support Citrix technology onboarding and adoption.
Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering professional growth and contributing to the team's collective expertise and capabilities.
Ability to travel up to 10% if required.
Required Experience/Skills
Minimum of 7 years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., engineering, professional services, advanced technical support) within a high-tech or enterprise IT setting, where you've been responsible for leading and delivering complex technical solutions.
An excellent customer service demeanor and the ability to engage with different stakeholders in various roles and at different levels of an IT organization.
Specialized knowledge of Citrix products and/or complementary or competing technologies.
Knowledge of End-User Computing (EUC) engineering and architecture, including virtual desktop and application delivery, advanced endpoint protection, and/or the design and implementation of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions.
Hands-on experience with scripting and usage of APIs to streamline the deployment, configuration, and management of Citrix and/or cloud resources.
Proven ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues within large-scale IT environments, leveraging advanced troubleshooting methodologies and a data-driven approach.
